Dracaena ‘Dorado’ is a compact, slow-growing houseplant prized for its striking variegated foliage. Leaves are lance-shaped with bright golden-yellow centers and dark green margins, creating a bold, tropical look.

Light

Bright, indirect light is ideal. Tolerates moderate light but avoid direct hot sun, which can scorch leaves. In low light growth slows and variegation may fade.

Water

Allow top 2–3 inches (5–7 cm) of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly, letting excess drain away; never leave the plant sitting in water.

Humidity & Temperature

Prefers average to slightly higher humidity (40–60%). Mist occasionally or place on a pebble tray if your home is very dry. Keep between 65–80°F (18–27°C). Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 60°F (15°C).

Soil & Potting

Use a well-draining potting mix—standard indoor pot mix amended with perlite or orchid bark works well.

Fertilizer

Feed with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).

Toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs.
