Light
Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct hot sun which can scorch leaves; insufficient light causes dull colors.
Water
Keep evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry. Reduce frequency in winter.
Humidity
Prefers high humidity. Mist regularly, use a pebble tray, or place near a humidifier.
Temperature
Warm conditions 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from drafts and temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
Soil & potting
Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix. Repot every 1–2 years to refresh soil and accommodate growth.
Fertilizer
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring–summer). Stop or cut back in winter.
Toxicity
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested—keep out of reach.
