Sansevieria Masoniana
Sansevieria Masoniana
Add a splash of vibrant greenery to your space with our Sansevieria masoniana (commonly called Whale Fin or Mason’s Snake Plant) presented in a chic yellow ceramic pot. This striking plant features a single large, paddle-shaped leaf with bold texture and muted green tones that suit contemporary interiors. Sansevieria masoniana is regarded as low-maintenance and ideal for beginners. It is naturally air-purifying, helping improve indoor air quality.
Light
Bright, indirect light is best but tolerates lower light. Avoid prolonged direct hot sun which can scorch leaves.
Water
Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly — about every 2–6 weeks depending on light and season. Overwatering causes root rot.
Soil & potting
Use a well-draining cactus/succulent mix or add perlite/sand to regular potting soil. Choose a pot with drainage holes.
Temperature & humidity
Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep above 50°F (10°C). Average home humidity is fine.
Fertilizer
Feed lightly during growing season (spring–summer) with a balanced, diluted houseplant or succulent fertilizer every 6–8 weeks. No feeding in winter.
Pruning & propagation
Remove damaged leaves at the base. Propagate by dividing rhizomes or leaf cuttings (rhizome division is faster and more reliable).
Toxicity
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested — keep out of reach.
