Scindapsus Lime 30m
Scindapsus Lime 30m
Scindapsus ‘Lime’ (also sold as Scindapsus pictus ‘Lime’ or Scindapsus treubii ‘Lime’) is a compact, trailing houseplant prized for its bright, chartreuse-green, slightly heart-shaped leaves. Compared with darker Scindapsus varieties, ‘Lime’ shows more uniform lime coloration with subtle silver spotting or variegation on some leaves. Easy to grow and forgiving, it makes an excellent choice for desktops, shelves, or small hanging displays.
Light
Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch leaves.
Water
Water when the top 2 inches (5 cm) of soil are dry. Use room-temperature water and water thoroughly, allowing excess to drain. Do not let the plant sit in water.
Humidity & Temperature
Prefers moderate to high humidity (40–60%+). Benefit from occasional misting or a pebble tray if indoor air is dry. Ideal temperature range: 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep above 55°F (13°C).
Soil & Potting
Use a well-draining potting mix—peat-based mixes with perlite or orchid bark work well.
Fertilizer
Feed with a balanced, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring–summer). Halve feeding in fall and winter.
Pruning & Training
Support with a moss pole or trellis or allow to trail; it climbs or trails easily.
Toxicity
Contains calcium oxalate crystals and is toxic to pets and humans if ingested—keep out of reach.
